Stevan Gold
President
Steve was raised in Newton, Massachusetts and obtained his degree in Finance at Northeastern University in Boston. Steve started Gold Landscaping Service over 40 years ago in 1978. Since then, he has grown GLS from a push mower in the back of a rusty pickup truck, to a warehouse of specialized equipment and a fleet of trucks which allow him to make his clients’ landscaping dreams come true. Steve is a Massachusetts Certified Arborist (MCA), and a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional (MCLP). He also possesses a pesticide license with commercial certification from the department of Food and Agriculture Pesticide Bureau. In his off time, Steve likes to spend time with his family, and get in a round of golf.
John Garrant
General Manager
Tree Division
After leaving the Armed Forces, John joined Boston Tree Company in 1994 as a ground crewman. With patience, hard work, and dedication, he has risen through the ranks to become a Tree Climber, then Head Climber, then Foreman, and then the General Manager of the whole tree division. John’s straightforward demeanor, penchant for detail, and overall love of trees and nature have made him a big hit with our clients. In his off time, John loves to spend time with his wife and two sons.
Eric Banks
General Manager
Irrigation Division
With more than 20 years of experience in the Landscape and Irrigation field, Eric came to work in our Irrigation Division and has been the General Manager of RainMasters Lawn Irrigation for over 10 years now. His vast and varied experience in the field allow him to revolutionize how lawns, shrubs, and plantings are watered. By implementing the most up to date systems and Wi-Fi-enabled controllers to help customers optimize their irrigation systems, he helps them save water and, ultimately, save money. In his off time, Eric likes to spend time with his wife and two daughters, and occasionally enjoys a round of golf.
Chris K
Office Manager
Systems Coordinator
Chris is the office coordinator and bookkeeper who supports Eric, John and Steve in an administrative capacity. He’s usually the one who answers the phone, processes various workflows and payroll, and otherwise dots I’s and crosses T’s. As the resident millennial, he is regularly called upon as in-house tech support. His uncanny ability to organize the workflow, his soft and caring demeanor, and committed dedication to his work puts customers at ease that they are in good hands.
